tagged most recently by @socially-awkward-skeleton and @simplegenius042 to share some wippy stuff (thank youuuuu~ i promise i'll start catching up on tags later this evening i know i am. behind orz) some werewolf au syb waking up from her nap after getting home from the hope county clinic after her incident at st. francis. this is. uh. a little gross, so trigger warning for a human (or. werewolf in human form/human unaware she's a werewolf) consuming raw meat.
It’s her stomach that draws her out of bed before she’s fully awake. The soft haze of sleep still clings to her vision, blurring the harsh edges of reality into gentle shadows and muted colors. Pale light from the waning moon streams in through the windows as she stumbles in a stupor out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. She stops in front of the refrigerator. Her fingers curl around the handle, flinging the door open.
She reaches inside not for the pitcher of water nor the bag of shredded cheddar, but rather the pound of ground beef sitting on the top shelf. The plastic wrap gives way as she tears into it. Her fingers dig into the soft, wet meat, curling her index and middle finger to spoon it into her mouth raw. It squishes against her palate and between her teeth, smooth and creamy. The flavor bursts on her tongue, sharp, metallic, but with an underlying sweetness that only seems to stoke her hunger, rather than sate it.
A low, satisfied moan rumbles deep in her chest. She leans back against the counter and slides down to sit on the cool linoleum floor. Already, her hands are tacky with blood. Her tongue curls around her fingers as she sucks them clean, desperate to savor every last drop.
It isn’t until she’s shoving her face into the styrofoam tray and licking the cellulose pad in an attempt to suck out more blood that she registers what she’s actually doing. She freezes and the empty tray falls to the ground as she stares aghast at her red-stained hands while her chest heaves with rough, ragged breaths.
and some of the viking au that's been coming together in bits and pieces. here's some syb (a frankish christian living in england and a prisoner of war) having a bad shroom trip because faith gave her a potion (bliss) that made her see visions of her and jacob (pagan, the one holding her hostage) where she is behaving in very. uh. un-christian ways.
[Sybille’s] head throbs and her stomach cramps, her guts threatening to turn her inside out. Tears burn her cheeks as they streak through the dirt and grime, and she stares up at the wicce who forced her to drink that vile potion. “Why do you show me these things?” she sobs.
Faith dips a rag into a bowl of water and gently dabs the sweat from Sybille’s brow.
“She shows you nothing,” murmurs the False King, “all she has done is open your mind to the Will of God.” He leans in close, piercing blue eyes staring into her very soul. “Tell me, what do you see?”

September 2024
Being the first one up in a quiet house. Sitting outside journalling, enjoying French sea salt butter and passion fruit jam on toasted pieces of baguette. The view of the sea. Painting, reading, a nap. Vacation mode.
The familiarity of it all. The house, the area, the people.
Snorkelling in Les Issambres with C. Trying to snatch away stones from octopus tentacles. Hanging out on the SUP together. Many cute kisses here and there (C. was in a very good mood).
Learning to communicate a little better. Slowly, slowly.
French supermarkets. The greedy first day haul.
Working on a mixed media painting which turned out useful for Trypophobia exposure therapy. I kinda like the depth of it though and the interesting shapes I created.
A chubby restaurant cat called Patate at Pampelonne Beach. I secretly call her Chonkita. She was very happy about my scritches!
An amusing sight: the lady in St. Tropez who was walking through town with a pack of about ten tiny dogs.
Little intimate moments with C. Analysing my friends and my relationship to them. Also: the realization that a chapter is closing. That I'm ready for something new that'll be so much more what I need.
A trip to Grasse. Walking through the medieval old town, visiting the perfume museum, shopping at Fragonard (I got a hand-marbled oversized shirt in earthy colours). Iced cappuccino with flower petals at Café Fleur. Eating a rich and delicious Galette in Fréjus.
The gorgeous light and shadow pattern on all of us when we were having drinks at the beach.
Driving through the back country to eat at a fabulous little restaurant by the sea. I had a three-course-menu: summer truffle burrata with roasted nectarines, zucchini filled with black olive tapenade (with puree, breadcrumbs, chickpeas and salad) and a delicious pistachio semifreddo with balsamic prunes.
Getting everything I want at the supermarket so I have a few kitchen souvenirs that'll make me smile when I think back to this summer.
Strawberry-flavoured sparkling water. The Maison Perrier x Magnetic Juice water in strawberry/kiwi is such a delight.
And, a final delight on the way back: a large cappuccino and a box of tiny Pocket Coffees at Autogrill.
Desperate measures after a weekend hiding in bed, trying extra hard to pretend not to exist: an evening at Therme Bad Wörishofen with Manu. Drinking a strawberry cocktail in the warm pool. Talking, no pretense.
The jay (Garrulus glandarius) I keep seeing behind my house. I just looked up its meaning and apparently it's connected with accepting responsibility for yourself and mustering up the courage to master a hard test. There are so many signs reaching me at the moment. Teachings about personal responsibility in the Gestalt therapy book I'm reading. Instagram bombarding me with messages about Eclipse Season and that something old has to go in order to make room for the life I've always wanted. It's slowly starting to sink in but I'm still so afraid. Stuck with my insecurity, between different needs and feelings. Inside a contradiction between safety and sensibility on the one hand, taking a risk and stepping into freedom and my full potential on the other.
A hit of nostalgia when I heated up the milk for my cereal. It was soggy and disgusting but reminded me of my childhood.
Realizing that I've never seen the last season of The Umbrella Academy!
I have very cute and supportive friends. Who tell me how talented I am and that something better is waiting for me at the other end of this crisis.
Making a decision. Seeing psychiatrists. Informing my headmaster. This is the beginning of a transformation and it's not gonna feel nice for a while but I'm sure it'll be worth it. I'm excited about what comes next.
Little trinkets: a glass bottle with a round wooden lid, a green glass candlestick holder, and a yellow T-shirt.
Spending a few days at Christian's place. Staying in my comfort zone. Honest communication and support.
Baking a buttery mirabelle cake. Sharing it with a few neighbours at the garden table.
Feline affection: The orange cat who was waiting for me outside the doctor's office. All that crazy Findus energy. And cuddling with Charlie who was sleeping inside the little blanket fort in the garden.
Going on a little bike tour through the forest on a beautiful afternoon with golden light. It smelled of moss and mushrooms. And I couldn't resist squeezing a few Impatiens seed pods, of course.
Reading a great book about the origin of Gestalt therapy. Analyzing my own process.
Spending an afternoon in Munich with C. and L. We went to the Archeological museum and Haus der Kunst where we had a snack at Goldene Bar and then I saw the exhibitions alone. Of course I found an interesting book about Marina Abramović at the bookstore there.
Productive procrastination. Observing myself in my avoidance of hard tasks and difficult feelings. Self-compassion.
Finding a small book about sleep, dreams and the night on a park bench. Cutting out poems and illustrations.
Birthing a chestnut from its spiky uterus.
Meeting Madeleine, a Gestalt therapist who works with somatic techniques, voice and breathing. I felt seen and I think we have a very similar approach to healing. She said that self acceptance might be something she could help me with. I'm curious and excited about working together.
Primavera Energiekick spray. It smells so good. I got it in an esoteric store after my first Gestalt Therapy session along with a tiny golden Om ornament. A few houses down I also discovered a little Indian shop and got two pictures of Kali/Durga. My last treat: three stalks of yellow and dark red Chrysanthemum.
My first meditation in a while. I actually craved it. I looked into the mirror, moved my hips, felt the need to turn inwards and connect with myself. I felt gratitude, joy, safety, confidence. Now I'm trying to reprogram my brain to get rid of my negativity bias and addiction to suffering.
Being helpful: translating something for a Chinese family at the supermarket. And forgetting about myself for a moment to be there for others: genuinely caring for Lucie, asking about how she felt after her cold - and leaving it at that. Not forcing my own problems on others for once.
Back on track: returning to yoga and choir practice after the summer break even though I already had two appointments in the afternoon.
Waking up energized with a desire to move.
Making coconut rice pudding with chunky mango cubes.
A vision that came to me during savasana: a cluster of luminous white diamond shapes and sparkles against a dark background. I wonder if I could paint what I saw or use it as inspiration at least.
Visiting Becki and Janina in Augsburg. A staredown with their cat Leo. Their gorgeous apartment and the tea book that Becki co-authored.
An evening dedicated to tantric rituals at Lachdach Pling. It was different than expected but a lovely event nevertheless.
Cat therapy. Having Findus lying on my chest, purring. It feels so soothing and nice.
The sickly summer lilac I planted in Christian's garden actually started to bloom again!

A gnarly churning machine is what produced this comic, and a grinding 🔥 out time it has been since my last post. The Theatre of Youth premiered Chekhov's The Seagull according to director Christian Benedetti's vision, merging spaces and disturbing expectations.

While I was away confronting my demons, somebody asked ( @mme-patate ) what my top 5 favourite tracks might be. I kept rattling my brains and came up with a top of radio shows I listen to, since music seems an endless pursuit: Turtles Have Short Legs, 150 session, Big Road Blues, Kranky and every once in a while either the Opera Show or RebelUpNightShop. Hope it helps.

Between the end of February and late April I took part, alongside Micul Haos's Maria Mandea and George Marian Preduț, in an artist in residency program taking part in the vicinity of Hermanstadt. Monica Dănilă, the coordinator of the Șona AIR project, through Fundația Ștefan Câlția asked us to explore the possibilities available in this small village, home to the painter and to the foundation's restoration projects. Besides the workshop we did with 21 local kids, the residency gave me the chance to work on my upcoming book. You can read more about the macabre and my churning state of mind in the May issue of Elle magazine, in which Ioana Ulmeanu was kind enough to squeeze me in with a very elegant take on what a burnt out artist turns to in times of despair.

Yesterday Orthodox Christians the world over celebrated Easter. From Russia to Eastern Europe and through out much of the Middle East extended families and friends typically come together to celebrate the end of 40 days of fasting. The dishes containing meat, dairy and eggs, which are off limits during the period of abstinence, are the featured ingredients. In Greece, the main attraction at the Easter dinner is a whole baby lamb on a spit. Early in the morning the lamb is brushed with olive oil using a large bunch of rosemary and then seasoned with salt pepper and oregano. It is placed on a rotisserie spit and turned (either manually or on automatic) for 4-5 hours as it is basted with more olive oil using the rosemary. It is a very beautiful ritual to experience and marks the beginning of the celebration to follow.
The lamb dinner is usually accompanied with lemon potatoes, as well as the Easter braided bread (tsoureki), dyed red eggs, cheese or greens and cheese pies of some sort (spanakopita or tyropita), and many side dishes of seasonal vegetables. Today I will share a recipe for Lemon Potatoes and an Artichoke and Pea Ragout both of which work as perfect accompaniments to any roasted meat or chicken recipe.
Greek Lemon Potatoes (Patates Lemonates)
Tumblr media
2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into four long ways
1 cup lemon juice
3 garlic cloves thinly sliced
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons dried oregano
salt and black pepper
Tumblr media
• Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, convection
• Place the potatoes in a medium size bowl and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
• In a smaller bowl whisk the lemon juice and olive oil. Add the oregano and ½ cup of water to the bowl and whisk together.
• Pour the lemon juice and olive oil mixture over the potatoes and mix well using your hands.
• Empty the potatoes and marinade into a roasting pan and season liberally once again with salt and pepper.
• Cover the pan with aluminum foil and roast for 40 minutes.
• Uncover the potatoes and stir carefully and return to the oven (uncovered). Continue to roast until the potatoes begin to turn golden and are completely cooked through when pricked with a knife.
Artichoke and Pea Ragout (Arakas me Agkinares)
Tumblr media
1 pound frozen peas, thawed
1 medium onion, diced
1 leek, cut down the center and sliced into ½ inch rings
1 bunch scallions, sliced
1 clove garlic, smashed and chopped
12 ounces marinated artichoke hearts, drained and cut in half
½ cup each, parsley, mint, dill, coarsely chopped
salt and pepper
olive oil
lemon juice
• In a large sauté pan warm 3 tablespoons olive oil and add the onion and leek.
• Sauté for 5-8 minutes without allowing the onions to brown. Add the garlic, scallions, salt and pepper and continue to cook for 3 minutes.
Tumblr media
• Add the peas and drained artichokes to the pan. Add half a cup of water or white wine to the mixture to ensure the pan has moisture and cook for 10 minutes. Add more water as needed.
• When the peas are cooked through but still retain their bright color remove the pan from heat and leave partially covered.
• After 10 minutes have passed add 3 tablespoons olive oil, the juice of half a lemon and all of the herbs and stir well and serve.

Nonna Pina Reviews: Spider-Man: Far From Home
Warning: I’ve been told that people get very sensitive about movies made by this company, which is why I tried to keep this piece as spoiler-free as I could. However, I’m only human and there might be a spoiler or two. Reader discretion is advised.
Nonna Reviews: the Spider Boy and Fishbowl Man go very far away
Are you a malnourished fifteen-year-old with very sticky hands and the fate of the entire world resting on your 20cm wide shoulders?
Have you ever almost accidentally murdered one of your classmates with highly advanced machinery that should never end up the hands of a literal child?
Has your high school science trip that has absolutely nothing to do with science ever been highjacked by a man in an eyepatch and a guy with a fishbowl over his head?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, “Spider-man: Far From Home” is just the movie for you. Also, congratulations! You’re my grandchild now.
I’m looking at you, Thomas Hollandaise. I’ll feed you so much pasta e patate you’ll reach the weight of a healthy adult moose in no time.
Seriously, though, the kid doesn’t eat enough. I don’t think we ever see him eat in the movie. Which I find hardly believable. You’re telling me that this spaghetti-looking child visited Venice, of all places, and no Venetian grandmother tackled him and forced him to down a kilo of fried fish? Inconceivable.
I do feel for the boy, though. He’s half a globe away from everything he knows and loves and someone just randomly decides that he and all of his friends have to die. And that’s two people. Two whole people. That’s his entire friend group. He should come to my prayer group. Lots of good, young Christian boys and girls join us, you know?
Also, how does everyone magically speak English in Venice? The kid just walks into this comically small shop and says “I need this” and the vendor is just? “Ha! Yes, my dear child, I have just the thing”? Have these people ever been to Italy? And “Mysterio”? Did something get lost in translation? “Mystery man” is “l’uomo del mistero” in Italian. Where exactly did that second ‘i’ come from?
Other than that, I really liked the way the film made a commentary on the reality of the movie industry while literally being the movie industry. It really makes you think about what it would be like if, say, I were really a nineteen-year-old creating a persona far enough from her own to allow her to comment on gen. Z society while losing the bias that comes with being part of it. And what if this persona were really the ultimate stereotype of an older Italian woman so that she could comment on the dangers of stereotypes in our daily lives? Outrageous, I know.
With that said, since spider-man begins his superhero career after being bitten by a radioactive spider, it is with great pleasure that I will now follow his example and present to you my super alter ego: Toddler Woman.
She provides affordable baby-sitting services and guarantees no casualties if your child should ever swallow a Lego brick. Or a radioactive spider.
Lastly, promise you’ll all eat more than Peter does or I will personally show up at your place at 3am and force feed you an entire bowl of carbonara.
Your super-grandma,
Nonna Giuseppina Antonelli, Europe, Italy, Naples

İneklere 9 bin ton patates yemi verilecek
Tumblr media
NEUCHÂTEL- Kapalı olan gastronomi sektörü nedeniyle 9 bin ton patates tabak yerine yem teknesine düşüyor. Neuchâtel Cressier'deki patates fabrikası Frigemo, kapalı olan gastronomi sektörüne rağmen, geçen sonbahar patates hasadını işlemesi gerekiyor. Fabrika patates kızartması veya kroket türü dondurulmuş ürünler üretiyor. Bu nedenle mallarının yüzde 70’ini catering endüstrisine satıyor. Şu anda fabrika hiçbir sipariş alamasa da patatesleri işlemesi gerekiyor. Frigemo'nun patronu Daniel Jenni, "Aksi takdirde patatesler çürür" dedi.

Tumblr media Tumblr media

Mardi 27 août
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

ENGLISH
After 11 hours of flight, my team landed at 5:30am on thursday 22 in Reunion Island. We have met the people of the team there and the people which who we would stay with and started to plan the weekend.
KICKSTART SEMINAR, day 1.
We had the first teaching about “Christian or Disciple ?”. It’s so easy to call ourselves christians but what does it really mean? The word “christian” is found only 3 times in the Bible and was a nickname for the disciples of Jesus in Antioche. Jesus never used the word “christian” to call the people who was following him, but “disciple.” A disciple follows the example of his master, so as disciples of Jesus-Christ we are called to follow his example. So during the afternoon, we put into practice his teachings.
« If you enter a town and they welcome you, eat whatever is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them : The kingdom of God is near you. »
With Maurice, Marinette and Nicole who are christians and came for the Kickstart, we went in a park to speak with the people there. We met a young girl who had pain in her ankle, a man with knee pain, a woman with two broken fingers and all of them got healed after we laying hands on them. It was the first time for Maurice to pray for people, he met a man with shoulders pain, prayed for him and he got healed. The beautiful thing is that Maurice got healed from the same pain in the very morning! At the end of the afternoon, we met with everyone of the Kickstart to share testimonies and there were a lot of beautiful healing testimonies!
KICKSTART SEMINAR, day 2.
Some people met on the street the day before joined us for the last day of the seminar. We shared the message of the gospel : we are separated from God because of our sins but Jesus-Christ payed the price on the cross so we can be reconciled with God. We need to turn away from our sins, be baptized for the remission of our sins and we will receive the Holy Spirit. People were touched and asked to be baptized. We ended up our seminar weekend in Fred and Fréderique’ house for a local meal : “Rougail Saucisse”, “Chouchou” “Yellow rice”. We had a good time of fellowship with the families and I had a créole lesson, the local language (it seems that I am a fast learner haha)
Monday, August 26th
After a morning rest, we decided to explore the island. On our way to Le Bassin de Cormoran, Aurélie and I went more into the forest where we met Frank, a man who lives there for 11 years. He told us about his life here, his beliefs and his communion with the spirits... We shared the Good New of Jesus-Christ with him, prayed for him and gave him a book with the Gospel of Matthew and left as touched as he was. In the evening, we had an open meeting near the sea, in Saint Paul, in the West of the Island. Joanne and I met Vanessa, a young woman from Philippine who spoke only english. She had not received the Holy Spirit and was praying for it for a long time. So she was thinking maybe, God did’nt wanted to give it to her and it would be for later. But we affirmed the contrary: God wants to give us his Holy Spirit, it’s a promise.
Peter replied,“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise belongs to you and your children and to all who are far off—to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself.” (Acts 2.38-39)
We prayed for her, she got delivered from bad spirits and then she started to speak in tongues. She was so happy that she was crying. When we saw her the next day, she jumped on us saying :
« I’m filled with so much joy! And I don’t have fears anymore! »
Tuesday, August 27th
On the beach, the team trained for a show that explains what Jesus did for us. We did it in from of the people the very evening for a new open meeting. People met in the street joined us again. During the evening, Lea had a word of knowledge and asked if someone had pain in his right knee. A man raised his hand, she prayed for him and he god healed. After, we learned that before the meeting, he said to God : “God, if you really care for me, heal me during this evening.” God really hears our prayers.
Wednesday, August 28th
To continue our week, we were invited in Mont-Vert Les Bas at Marie-Noël’s house in the south of the Island. We joined the house fellowship for the evening and we could praise God together and we had the opportunity to share the Gospel. When Josué ended by saying that we can pray for the people who wants, a woman in front of me started to move on her chair, feeling bad. And, she started to scream and scream and scream, without any control of herself. We casted out the demon who was manifesting, then we spoke with her. She had a Catholic background, was praying to Marie and the Saints but this night, she understood the Gospel, wanted to repent and asked to be baptized. So for her, and two other people who took the same decision, at 11pm we filled the pool and baptized them to the name of Jesus-Christ. That evening, a lof of people got set free from demons and received the Holy Spirit. We were amazed to see that with a simple meeting, God did such big things.
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
Thursday, August 29th
We woke up early to go to Belvédère du Maïdo. We wanted to see the view up there behind the clouds. We took a time to pray for each others and listen to what God wanted to say. Then, we had a good meal with local specialities : Cabri Massalé, Pavé de Dorade and Sweet potatoes cake! (yummyyyyyy). In the afternoon, the girls went to visit Liliane, a Catholic woman to share our testimonies, to explain the Gospel and to pray for her. Then we joined the boys to end up the day with a picnic in front of the sea.
Friday, August 30th
I couldn’t be in Reunion Island without going to see a market place! The one of Saint Paul is certainly one of the most beautiful with BIG avocados, papayas, mangos, Victoria pineapples, samosas, “bouchons”...
At noon, we ate at the beach with the team after having baptized a friend of Liliane (the Catholic woman met the day before). Her friend was touched by the Gospel and decided to repent from her sins and follow Jesus.
The evening, we were invited at the church were we had the Kickstart seminar. The team played again the show who talks about the freedom in Christ and we shared our personal testimonies. I met Martine, a woman how has a son who suffers from anxiety. She was encouraged to hear my story and I was encouraged to continue to share it!
Sunday, August 31th
The day of our departure, all the people with whom we spent the ten days came to the airport to say goodbye. There goodbyes were as beautiful as the time we had with them. Reunion Island, we will come back for sure... Mi yaime zot toute (I love you in créole)
